About this trail
A rewarding out-and-back climb through Mount Coot-tha Reserve starting from Russell Terrace, opposite the Chapel Hill Community Garden. The wide compacted earth trail winds through native bushland before summiting Mount Coot-tha with stunning views across Brisbane's skyline and surrounding lowlands. Worth every step of the 189m climb. Dogs on leash throughout. Can be combined with the Citriodora and Spotted Gum trails for a longer loop. The Summit Cafe at the lookout welcomes dogs — a perfect post-walk reward.
